CORE VALUES
Matthew 6:33
"But seek ye first the kindom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." KJV
As a church we stand on this as our foundational scripture. We are a body of followers and believers. Also, we strive to lead all into a living and vibrant relationship with the Lord. When one seeks God first and daily. Know that the rest will come and be taken care of according to His will.
A Multi- Cultural Church
Here at God 1st Church we believe that the body of the church should truly reflect the local community. Since we live in diverse communities today, we reach out to all cultural backgrounds. We truly welcome all to come and worship, praise, become a working member, help lead all to a relationship with Jesus Christ, and further His mission of desiring all to be saved. Matthew 28:18-20 KJV
Come as you are
Walking through our doors we want you to feel as comfortable as possible. It is our wish that you will feel comfortable being yourself here at God 1st Church. We are not concerned with what you are wearing. But we are more concerned about your spiritual condition and your relationship with the Lord. If it's good enough for Jesus Christ, then it is good enough for God 1st Church. We love you just the way you are.
Bring your friends
It is our wish that you would bring your friends and family with you! The more visitors the better. We pray together, worship together, praise together, and claim victories together! In service, from the youngest to the oldest we worship together as one body, and one family.
OUR BELIEFS
DOCTRINE
We exist to build healthy relationships with other believers. We want to build a community that anyone can rely on for a helping hand. We do our very best to build a family atmosphere here at God 1st Church. We believe in the Holy Trinity. (God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.) It is our belief that the Holy Bible was written by men but divinely inspired by God. Saving grace is for all, but must come from and through Jesus Christ. We strive to promote love, unity, healing, forgiveness, wisdom, understanding, growth, and hope. It is our prayer for all to come to a better understanding of what it means to put God 1st in each of our lives.
SERVICE
If you prefer a smaller church, then that is what we are. After you visit one time, we then consider you as family. As a smaller body we see more personal interaction and christian realtionships being built. Pastor Terrance knows everyone by name and personally greets everyone at each service. Our service is upbeat, and praise filled. We try to lead everyone to have a personal encounter with Jesus Christ. The preached word is backed by biblical scriptures that you can later go home and study further. Pastor Terrance will encourage you, challenge you, and lead you to a deeper realtionship with the Lord. We encourage you to come and we believe that Jesus Christ will take care of the rest.
LOCAL AND GLOBAL OUTREACH
We strive everyday to serve and grow closer to God. It is our hope and mission that through our services and ministries that you are given the tools to build a better relationship with Jesus Christ. But it is also our desire that we do not stop there. By building a better relationship with God, we are encouraged to reach out to all, help all, and love all locally and abroad. We do this by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and displaying His love for all. Being led by Jesus Christ and having "unity" is key in this enormous task. Together we stand, but divided we all fall. Mark 3:24-25 KJV
